Lauri Sager Wright
Certified Shiatsu Therapist, AOBTA
I work with clients to assist them toward greater strength and resiliency by translating the symptoms their bodies are presenting into opportunities for renewed health and wellness. The body was designed for healing. Shiatsu massage uses a variety of techniques to soothe, relax, and restore the body’s natural equilibrium and ability to heal. Performed over clothing, I apply pressure to specific points and pathways on the body — much like acupuncture (but without needles) — to move qi, or life force. Pressure is always adjusted according to the needs and wants of the client. I love deconstructing more complex cases and looking for pathways forward that will most benefit the client in noticeable, measurable ways.
Initially trained as a pianist from an early age, playing has taken me all over the world, performing on stages from Vienna to London, Helsinki to Minneapolis, and numerous places in between. On-stage, I was trained to investigate and clarify my own instincts, and be sensitive and responsive to what my fellow musicians needed from me at the keyboard. Offstage, I rely on that same skill set and sensitivity to treat my clients with compassion and care. I see the body as an extraordinary instrument.

Ann Short
Ann has been practicing massage since 1998. She has certification in massage and has advanced certification in orthopedic massage. She continued her training receiving certification in among others, infant massage instruction, connective tissue massage, and massage for first responders.
In addition to practicing massage, she worked as a curriculum developer and instructor in a massage school for more than 10 years. Ann specializes in what she calls a “layered massage”. She combines myofascial work with deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports and orthopedic techniques. She also specializes in massage for clients that have sustained soft tissue injuries in auto accidents. Ann is a puzzle solver. “Every day I get to go to work and see my clients and I get to help solve the puzzle of why something hurts or doesn’t move the way it should. And then I get the honor of being part of the restoration and healing process.”
Ann believes that massage is for everyone. “I know of very few people who do not benefit on some level from massage. I do not think there is one type of massage that works for everyone; like most things in life, many roads lead to one destination. When asked ‘Why should I get massage?’, I say, ‘Imagine if everyone could get a massage once a week – what a different world it could be.’ Most people laugh, but they laugh because there is truth that massage affects people on so many levels”. Ann understands that there is a need for balance in life. “My career is that of quiet healing in a calm, peaceful place, so outside – the adrenaline junkie is allowed out.” Ann loves thrill rides!
